Pokemon Gyms and Elite Four

Welcome to Pokemon Gyms and Elite Four! Here you can challenge (and possibly become) a/one of gym leader/the elite four. This is a competitive battling/trading site for Pokemon Pearl, Diamond, and Platinum. There will be 8 Gym leaders and 4 (+ 1 for the champion so 5) of the Elite Four. Please read the rules before doing anything that could get you deleted.

WOAAH!!!!! alot has been done!

There has been a major forum clean up. all the post older then 5 months ( excluding guides and fanfics) were deleted. they were taking up alot of room

.The folllow pages have also been updated: Chat room, aracade, faq, home page, forums and guides. with a brand new dragon redesign coming soon!

Great news! six all new guides are being added to the website in Febuary, most of them are needed! The first one was put online tonight, while two more are coming tomorrow. look for them!

Make sure you sign up for the writing contest happaning later this month, but go ahead and start on your stories now so you have time. Remember, must be atleast 1,500 words but no longer then 10,000. Good luck!

We ask that you guys begin to advertise, so the site can further grow as well.

In other news, the new co owner: Barry has done a great job managing the forums and adding into the site. Remember on Febuary 12th he has a gift to every member on the site, a level 45 Shiny mew. Forum post on the topic is coming soon. Look for it.

Three brand new guides are being created for the website. Look for them Thursday or Friday. Gonna be great. =p

 What happened with Damien is done.

Most of you don't even know the whole story (you might think you do) but you don't, so please stop being disrespectful to Ryan and I.

Nobody here is "calling Damien out." He keeps talking trash about Ryan and I, so you guys should know the full story before you come argueing on chat.

Damien let power go to his head and he got mad when he was told no.

He made Ryan choose between two friends. Damien said: "Either ban Kenny or I'm leaving." Sorta thing.

He wanted to make every owner mod, and make the only owners Ryan and himself.

He got mad when he found out Ryan gave the pass for the site to me (This was 2 days before he got banned.)

He stole ideas from other sites, so he never really helped, besides rare home page updates.

This post isn't calling him out, it's just stating what he has done.

Now that you see what happened, you can come to the chat and argue about it if you still desire.

Hey, good evening everyone!

Barry is now Co-owner of the site, so make him feel special!The Writing contest is still going strong, so far three people have entered. Make sure you submit your story by febuary 27th to Barry four your chance to win the four EV'd pokemon.

In other news There are a few idea's being tossed around the site. One of them being prizes for when a member wins a gym badge. Like for example, not only could you get a badge for winning the gym, but a shiny pokemon and a TM as well. This is NOT official yet, but maybe one day PGEF could have a fan Art contest. It's unknown to me on how many artist we have on the site.

On friday Febuary 12th, Barry will be giving out a free mew to any member who wants one. It will be at level 45, and will have an adamant nature. The special mew will also be shiny. Moves will Vary. It will be trained though.

to get this mew you must:

- Have a clean record

- Ask for it, private message me. YOU CAN ONLY HAVE ONE!

     Welcome! The PGEF staff hopes everyone had a good month of January! Febuary has some great stuff to look forward to. First we have the PGEF writing contest. Write your stories ( that are atleast 1,500 words to 10,000 words) and submit them to Barry by Febuary 27 to have a chance at winning four EV'd pokemon of your choice. Check out the forum post for further information.

In other news, there is a monotype tourney coming happaning soon, our member " Wolf" had the idea for doing so. Make sure you sign up on the forums and leave the type you would like to participate with. Hurry before there all gone.

     We now have our own tier list thanks to someone finding a site called revampthetiers.webs.com.  We have given them credit on our tier list.  However, our Uber List still stands.  Ninjask and Garchomp are still Uber, as well as Latios (with and without Soul Dew).

     For those looking for a date for our next tournament, it is still to be decided.  Keep your eyes on the homepage and the Tournament section on the forums for any updates on this.

  It's Christmas Eve, and someone is trying to hack the site. He goes by Nite, Mimikiea, Arfix, and Chase. We think we stand for everyone when we say... Someone's gonna get coal in there stocking! Anyway, we've updated Pokemon of the Week, so swing by when you have the chance. Swampert is this week's Pokemon, and it can now function as an anti-Smogon lead!

      We would like to mention to you all that we have two new rules, Rules 16 and 17.  Please read them before deciding to challenge the Gyms.  You will be expected to list your team on the thread provided in the Gym Challenge Info section of the forums.  Please post on the correct thread........

     Also, our Christmas Tournament was cancelled if you didn't know already.  We will reschedule, and have a tournament some time after Christmas.  A date has yet to be decided, but we will provide the update once we have decided.

     We need more applicants for the tournament. There has been only one that has sent in an application that followed the template that is in the forums.  If there are no more applicants, then we will cancel the tournament.  We were hoping for more than the four that tried to enter.  If those four would like to redo their applications with the correct format, we may be able to pull off the tournament by just holding the last round (finals).  The two with the highest scores will get the spots (if we decide the tournament will work like this.  If not, the last spots will be filled by tryout battles with more strict requirements, which will be posted upon decision about the tournament).

    Also, keep in mind, we now have Gym/Elite Four Clans.  The clan "High Tide" is #1 in terms of members, followed by the Grass Clan, the Telekinetic Clan, and the clan "Crescent Darkness," all holding the #2 spot with one member each.  If you want to join a clan, go to each clans' respective page (Gym clans in the respective Gym section, Elite Four clans in the Elite Four section).  Make sure to follow their rules, as well as those of the site, and go about joining the clan in the manner specified by the Clan Leader.

    The Gym Clans are up and running!  Before you barge into a Clan Leader's thread and say, "Where do I sign up?", you first should read the What is a Gym/E4 Clan? thread.  Then you need to go to each clan's individual page.  Gym Leaders will have them in their respective forum areas, and the Elite Four will have details for theirs in the Elite Four section, with each E4 member having their own thread.  All Leaders and Elite Four members will have up their own specific rules and requirements for clan members that must be upheld and completed.  Some will want people to try out, others will just scout for members.  Check each page to see which clan does what.

   A special thanks goes out to Wolf, who gave the PGEF Staff the idea.  He supplied the foundation, and we ran with it!

   And I'm sad to say that we will be having to move the Tournament back a few days.  Damien, the Tournament Coordinator, has work that day.  We will update you once the new date has been selected.  We will shoot for a day before Christmas Day (before Christmas Eve if we can make it happen).

Update:  The new date has been decided.  December 21st.  All times are the same.  1:00 Eastern time in the chatroom (that's 12:00 Central, 11:00 Mountain, and 10:00 Pacific time.  For any UK members, that's going to be 9:00 PM for you, I believe).

    We've begun a major reconstruction of the forums, and we will continue this reconstruction to make it more accessible (i.e., more organized, easier to view).  Just to name a few things added, we have the new Leader sections and a heading for Tournaments.

    Also, the rules have been revised.  You are advised to look at the changes.  Since we are telling you here, you will have no excuse if you break a rule.

    We've added some new headings to the forums.  Each Gym Leader has one.  If you are a Gym Leader, please go to the forums and enter your official Gym Welcome.  Also, add any threads you'd like (rules, challenge requirements, etc), and make sure Damien sees that it's been put there (send him a PM about it if he's not on).  He will sticky it when he gets on.  All current Gym Leaders are required to do at least the Welcome.  This will help to keep the Gyms uncluttered.

    With the lack of applicants, we've decided to try something.  The tourney is now an OU and lower tournament.  No ubers as stated on our uber list.  This way, people don't have to build a team they'll only use once.

   As for the form, I have taken a LOT of stuff off of it.  Now all that is required is your name, chat name, FC, and team....that's it!

   The tournament has been set for Saturday, December 19.  This will allow the maximum number of people to participate as it's a Saturday, and most people will be done with school for the holidays, so there should be no homework to deal with.

   And lastly, one of our admins has been informed of a member who's having problems with people bullying him when he loses battles.  This is unacceptable.  Rule 6 has been updated to clarify its meaning so that no one, and we mean NO ONE can say, "Well I didn't understand."  You break rule 6 in the chat or on the forums, you will be kicked and banned for 1 hour or your post will be deleted.

   Still not many applicants....anyways, just a quick "State of the League" address (presidential puns are funny people)...Our number of Gym Leaders has dropped from 7 just a week ago to 4 as of today.  One was caught with a hacked Pokemon, one followed him with the intent of starting a site war with us (nothing has happened, and we won't start it...we'll finish it if they start), and one (Jaden) stopped playing Pokemon.  We wish him the best in whatever he wants to do, and he is always welcome to come and chat every now and again if he so chooses.

   Having said that, we have 2 spots open, obtainable only by a tryout battle, of course.  For details on how to become a Gym Leader by tryout battle, click here.  Damien will not be available to battle for the next two weeks unless he finds either a Wi-Fi source at a friend's appartment or a way around the campus firewall.  Gyms 7 and 8 are still reserved for the runner-up and winner of the Christmas Tourney respectively.  Please read the rules and restrictions, and send in a form to Damien.
